When possible, material should arrive with enough information to connect it to the correct trade account, project and treatment order.
Fabric can be reviewed for practical production concerns such as width, repeat, direction, apparent shortages or visible flaws before the workroom begins fabrication.
For rare, expensive or irreplaceable material, early clarification matters even more.
The final operational rules can be tightened once your receiving process is connected to the trade portal.
Identify the company or designer sending the material.
Include the project or client reference used inside Workroom Center.
Reference the corresponding order whenever one has already been created.
Note supplier, pattern, color, width and repeat information where available.
Call out centered motifs, directional use or another important design requirement.
Include anything unusual about the material that the workroom should know before inspection or cutting.
Once the account system is fully connected, COM can be checked in against the project so the designer can see when fabric has been received and whether there is an issue requiring attention.
