Custom work depends on accurate specifications, appropriate materials and clear communication. These terms are intended to make those responsibilities understandable before an order enters production.
Trade accounts
Workroom Center is intended for interior designers, decorators, window treatment professionals and related trade businesses. Workroom Center may request reasonable business information to confirm trade eligibility or to establish payment, tax or shipping records.
Specifications and approvals
The trade customer is responsible for providing accurate project dimensions, treatment selections, fabric direction, quantities, hardware conditions and special instructions. Workroom review is intended to identify apparent inconsistencies or questions, but it does not transfer responsibility for field measurements, installation conditions or design decisions unless Workroom Center has expressly agreed to provide those services.
When an approval, drawing, quote or order confirmation is provided, production should proceed from the most recently approved information. Changes after approval may affect price, material requirements and timing.
Customer's own material (COM)
COM should be clearly identified with the customer, project and order information. Workroom Center may review fabric width, repeat, direction, apparent defects and received yardage before fabrication. Some defects, weaving irregularities, color variation or material behavior may not become apparent until cutting or fabrication begins.
The customer should provide enough material for the approved treatment, including pattern matching and reasonable workroom allowance. If additional material is needed, production may pause until it is received.
Custom orders, changes and cancellations
Because products are made to specification, the applicable quote or order confirmation should state the payment schedule and any change or cancellation conditions. Once material has been cut or fabrication has begun, changes may require additional material, labor and cost and may not always be possible.
Pricing and timing
Online calculations and preliminary quotes are based on the information entered at that time. Final pricing can change when specifications, quantities, materials, shipping requirements or unusual construction details change. Production timing should be confirmed for each order rather than assumed from general website information.
Shipping, delivery and installation
Shipping charges, packaging requirements and delivery method may vary by order. The trade customer is responsible for providing accurate delivery information and for arranging site receiving and installation unless other services are specifically included in the order.
Inspection and project issues
Custom products should be inspected promptly after receipt and any concern should be documented with photographs and order information before alteration or installation when reasonably possible. The appropriate remedy depends on the nature of the issue and the approved specification.
Client relationship
Workroom Center operates as a trade fabrication resource. The trade professional remains responsible for their own client relationship, design agreement, client approvals, installation coordination and any resale obligations that are not expressly accepted by Workroom Center.
